A 5.2 magnitude earthquake rattled a remote part of the California-Nevada state line. The quake struck just after 7:36 a.m. Saturday 11 April 2020. No damage or injuries were reported. Sheriff’s dispatchers have not received any reports of damages or injuries. The 5.3 earthquake today was followed by several aftershocks. Two were larger than magnitude 3.0.

The 5.3 earthquake today was centered near Bodie, a former gold-mining town that is now a state park in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountain range, approximately 90 miles southeast of South Lake Tahoe.
U.S. Geological Survey website has reported the magnitude to be 5.2. Mono County sheriff’s dispatchers about 30 miles north of Bodie felt the earthquake, Sgt. Magdaleno Hernandez said.
Any reports of damages or injuries have not been received yet.
